St. Anton am Arlberg has no airport of its own. 7 serve it, and the one you pick decides how long your first day takes. We drive all 7, every day of the winter season.

We are not a booking platform. We are a taxi company based in St. Anton, on the road you will arrive by. Your driver meets you in arrivals with a name sign, loads the skis, and takes you straight to your hotel, chalet or apartment — no changes, no other passengers, no waiting for a shuttle to fill up.

Which airport should you fly into?

Closest is not always best. Sorted by how long the drive actually takes — that matters more than the distance, and it is what the price is built on.

Per vehicle, one way, to any address in St. Anton am Arlberg. Tolls, the Arlberg tunnel, the Swiss vignette, luggage, skis and child seats are included. Return transfers are the same price in the other direction, and there is no night surcharge. Drive times are for normal conditions — snow, weekends and changeover Saturdays can add an hour or more, and we plan for it. Full price list.

Look at the last column. Eight people from Zürich pay €495. Three people pay €475. The difference is €20, because you are booking the car and the driver, not seats — about €62 each for a group of eight.

Now look at Munich against Zürich. Only 25 km further, but €165 more and 40 minutes longer. That is not a mistake, and it is the most useful thing on this page: you are not buying kilometres, you are buying a driver's day. Zürich is motorway almost the whole way. Munich crosses mountain passes, where an hour disappears at 30 km/h behind a line of lorries. Motorway kilometres are cheap. Mountain kilometres are not.

Add the transfer to the flight before you book. A cheap seat into Munich can cost more door to door than a dearer one into Innsbruck.

What our passengers say

4.5from 52 reviews

What about the train, or hiring a car?

By train. St. Anton has its own station on the Arlberg line, and it is a good option if you travel light. From Zürich Airport you change at Sargans; from Munich you change at Innsbruck. Expect 3 to 4 hours and at least one change, then a taxi from the station to your accommodation anyway. With skis, boot bags and children, the changes are where it stops being cheap.

By hire car. Winter tyres are a legal requirement in Austria between November and April, and you will want snow chains in the boot. You also need an Austrian motorway vignette, the Arlberg tunnel toll, and somewhere to park in a village where parking is scarce and expensive. It makes sense if you plan to drive around the region. It rarely makes sense for a week on the slopes.

By shared shuttle. Cheaper per seat, but you wait at the airport until the vehicle fills, then stop at other resorts before yours. On a 200 km run from Zürich that can add two hours to your first day.

We are not the cheapest way to get to St. Anton. We are the one where you land, walk out, and get in the car. See what it costs.

Frequently asked questions

Which airport is best for St. Anton am Arlberg?

Innsbruck (INN) is the shortest drive at about 1h 15min and €210 per vehicle, but it has fewer international routes. Zürich (ZRH) takes about 2h 20min and costs €475, and has by far the widest choice of flights, which is why most of our guests arrive there. Munich (MUC) has the most flights overall but the longest and least predictable drive at €640. Add the transfer to the flight price before you decide — a cheap flight into Munich can cost more door to door than a dearer one into Innsbruck.

Is the price per person or per vehicle?

Per vehicle, always. Zürich to St. Anton is €475 for 1–3 passengers and €495 for 4–8 — eight people pay €20 more than three, which works out at about €62 each. The price is fixed when you book and includes tolls, the Arlberg tunnel, the Swiss vignette, luggage, ski equipment and child seats.

Why does the price not follow the distance?

Because you are not paying for kilometres, you are paying for time and for how hard the road is. Munich is only 25 km further than Zürich but costs €165 more, because it crosses mountain passes where you can spend an hour at 30 km/h behind a line of lorries. Motorway kilometres are cheap. Mountain kilometres are not.

What happens if my flight is delayed?

We track your flight number and move your pickup automatically. Your driver waits for your actual landing time at no extra cost. You do not need to call us.

Where will I meet my driver?

In the arrivals hall after baggage reclaim and customs, holding a sign with your name. At Zürich, tell us whether you land at Arrival 1 or Arrival 2. At Munich, tell us your terminal.

Do you charge extra for skis, snowboards or luggage?

No. Ski and snowboard carriage is included, and so is luggage. Tell us how many sets you are bringing when you book so we send a vehicle with the right rack.

Do you drive to Lech, Zürs and St. Christoph as well?

Yes. We cover the whole Arlberg region and the surrounding valleys, including St. Christoph, Lech, Zürs, Stuben, Pettneu, Landeck, Ischgl and Galtür.

Do you provide child seats?

Yes, at no extra charge. Tell us the ages of the children when you book and we fit the right seats before we leave.

Can I book the return transfer to the airport?

Yes. Book both directions at the same time and we will pick you up from your accommodation. In winter we normally leave 3 hours before your flight to allow for snow and traffic on the Arlberg.

Do you drive at night?

Yes. We drive 24/7, including early morning departures and late arrivals. Airport transfers carry no night surcharge.
